Erewash Museum
Erewash Museum is a local and social history museum located on High Street, Ilkeston just undewr 5 miles away from Sandiacre
Home for the Museum is a late Georgian house with Victorian extensions. It was both a family home and school accommodation before becoming a museum in the 1980's.
Many original features survive and visitors can enjoy the garden with unrivalled views across the Erewash Valley.
Admission to the museum is free.

Galleries of Justice
Based at Nottingham’s old courthouse and gaol, there are many ways to explore the museum of Crime and Punishment, with free exhibitions, audio and performance-led tours plus a themed café.
There is an engaging Robin Hood exhibition perfectly suitable for children of all ages. The legend of Robin Hood has a particular importance and connection to the Galleries of Justice Museum, as for centuries, this historic building was the base of the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Maywood Golf Course
The course covers over 100 acres of picturesque parkland proving a variety of breathtaking views over a number of different counties. It has a reputation as one of the most friendly and welcoming clubs in the area.
Maywood Golf Club was designed and built by then proprietor Peter Moon. It was opened as a 9 hole course in 1990 then two years later extended to 18 holes together with an enlarged clubhouse.

Stapleford Mini Railway
With nearly 2 mile of scenic track, the one fifth scale SMR is home to the East African 31 class 2-8-4 oil burning loco, superb scale British LMS Jubilee and GWR Saint and the mighty NYC Niagara and NKP Berkshire American locos as well as the Curwen Warship Diesel and Curwen Atlantic.
A fun day out for all of the family.
